The second installment of the Blues Revue featuring 'Rebecca Downes' and her band, Preston based 'The Stumble' and 'MT Arms'.
Birmingham-based Rebecca and her band are a ‘must see’ live act that often leaves newcomers simply blown away by the power of the performance. With her co-writer Steve Birkett alongside her, a very tight band behind, and Rebecca’s powerful voice to the fore, the 5-piece outfit performs original tracks from the EP Real Life, the highly-acclaimed debut album Back To The Start and the superb second album Believe, punctuated by a few classic covers. The core of their music is the Blues, but they embrace elements of rock, soul, funk and jazz to deliver an exciting, passionate performance.
A blistering mix of blues, soul and old school R&B, The Stumble have been wowing audiences with the energy and virtuosity of their live performances for the past 20 years. Festival favourites in every corner of the UK and Europe, The Stumble are taking their creative talents to a new level with their stupendous 4th album, The Other Side. This is the band that Lazy Lester wanted to take back to the States with him and the band that the blues press widely recognise as one of the strongest live acts that the genre can boast in the UK.
MT Arms are an exciting, Cumbrian, loud, 3 piece electric R&B band, who are building an enviable reputation on the rhythm and blues circuit. We are a three piece band producing a full, loud, unique sound. We play a mix of classic covers and original material. Classic covers include Classic Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan & Thin Lizzy.
